Everything the Legacy Admin does, and a good deal it does not
The platform was rebuilt from the ground up: faster, mobile-ready, and carrying the things booksellers have been asking us for. If you are still on the Legacy Admin, this is what is waiting on the new one.
Marketplace orders
Orders from AbeBooks, Alibris, Amazon, Biblio with the ABAA, and eBay arrive here, with the buyer's details where the venue releases them. Mark one shipped and the status and tracking go back to the venue.
Shipping labels
Live rates from USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL Express, bought and printed from the order itself. No monthly fee and no contract, and the tracking number is recorded against the order.
Customs paperwork
An international order builds its own declaration, with your choice of duty prepaid or paid on delivery. USPS cannot prepay duty at all, which is postal policy rather than a limit here. FedEx, UPS and DHL Express can.
Point of sale and invoicing
Take payment for a sale made in person or at a fair, and raise a proper invoice for an institutional buyer. Both run against the same inventory and the same customer records as everything else.
A customer desk
Orders, wants, wishlists, mailing lists and duplicate merging, all on one screen, with new-arrival notices going out by category.
Reports across every channel
Website, marketplace and in-person sales land in one history. Revenue, margin, best sellers and channel-by-channel performance all come off that one set of numbers, and any of it exports to CSV or Excel.
Bulk edit, with restore points
Reprice, restatus, recategorize or find and replace across thousands of items at once, with a restore point taken beforehand so a big change can be put back.
ISBN lookup and assisted entry
Key or scan an ISBN and the record comes back filled in, with a stock cover where one exists. Type-ahead on the fields you choose, and drag-and-drop images with editing built in.
Backups and the purge guard
Nightly full-database backups, restore points on the big jobs, and a guard that stops an undersized upload file from emptying your catalog by accident.
